Good evening once again. I am Stephanie Rule, and it is day 208 of the second Trump administration.

And President Trump is now on board Air Force One and headed back to Washington after his summit with Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

So let's talk about what we know. Each side got out of this

meeting. Vladimir Putin got to set foot on American soil for the first time in a decade. He got the

full red cartman treatment. He got a perfect photo op at a U.S. military base and a warm greeting

from the president of the United States of America, complete with a

private one-on-one time with Trump in the presidential vehicle, smiling during the ride.

So what did our president? What did Donald Trump get out of this three-hour meeting with Putin?

Well, from the very short news conference we got afterwards, sounds like not very much.

I believe we had a very productive meeting.

There were many, many points that we agreed on.

Most of them, I would say.

A couple of big ones that we haven't quite gotten there, but we've made some headway.

President Putin with Vladimir. That is it. That is all President Trump got out of this no ceasefire no luncheon between the

u.s and russian delegations not even a PR opportunity after Putin got all the visuals that he

wanted and it is not a good look for the united states of amer. It certainly doesn't help our standing in the world right now,

a standing that has already been tarnished by tariffs.

This could be due in part to how quickly the summit was put together.
