among them. This book, Chukamak,

has recently been published by Faris Strauss and Cheru.

It's an autobiography,

The Life in Times of an Animated Cartoonist,

and it's a book that gave me an enormous amount of joy

because the personality of the writing is very much the personality of the Looney Tune.

It's great to have you here.

What started you writing your autobiography?

I mean, there's been an autobiography to write for years.

Well, I was a reluctant, a reluctant writer, although in a way I've been writing for many, many years.

I carried a long conversation through letters with various people.

And I put down ideas as they occurred to me.

But what got me into actually doing it was because my wife started to write a book about our

life together called How Can I Kiss You When I'm Laughing?

And so she wrote a very nice introduction to that book, and we took it back to expose it to a publisher.
