What started you writing your autobiography?

I mean, there's been an autobiography to write for years.

Well, I was a reluctant, a reluctant writer, although in a way I've been writing for many, many years.

I carried a long conversation through letters with various people.

And I put down ideas as they occurred to me.

But what got me into actually doing it was because my wife started to write a book about our

And so she wrote a very nice introduction to that book, and we took it back to expose it to a publisher.
