to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I'm just going to say that I

I'm a PK so my dad was a pastor my whole life I was raised in the church and played in the Babdustry you know we did that thing where we would crawl under all the pews from the front to the back of the church and yeah so I'm the youngest of three I'm the only girl on both sides of the family actually like mostly really I think I had a girl had a girl cousin come in at 20 at the 20 year mark but I was pretty much only girl and now you know it's it's been so sweet because I've just

traveled a lot in my day on the road as a musician and a worship leader and singer mostly with boys on buses so I feel like that all trained me really well for living in small spaces with boys but my favorite boy or guy man is Nathan Knuckles we married at 21 so we have essentially grown up together and we have three children who you've met Noah is 22 now

2:53.9

Ellie is 20 and Annie is 15 and they are just like our favorite adventure for sure and just we live in Franklin Tennessee and we're still

3:06.4

just being as true to just who God made us to be as far as like still making music and still traveling and

3:15.0

just feel so grateful to get to still be doing this after all this time.

3:20.0

Yeah you've made a couple shifts in life and a lot of people that listen to podcasts for many of them faith guides their steps other people's not so much but the thing that's true of all of us is that we make transitions from one thing to the next thing so there was Bob the lawyer but it wasn't like still Bob the lawyer because I love the idea of the promise that we're new creations.

3:42.0

So tell me about what is easy and hard about transitions for you because I knew you made a transition from Atlanta where we first met.

3:51.3

Do like Franklin maybe made some transition from being on the road a lot to a little bit less tells about that what you're learning.

3:59.7

Yeah well I mean transitions can be really scary I remember even just leading up to his we had been with passion conferences for 20 years I mean it's was such a huge part of even just our spiritual upbringing and and it was you know a huge thing to think about.

4:16.8

Kind of going small in a way but we felt like you know Tennessee is always felt the place like most like home so we really felt called to come back here and and I remember that I think one of the first things that I always know that happens within a transition is like I really do feel like my desires shift there's like and that just only we can know that you know it's like only you can know inside like okay there's like I don't know why I'm doing this but there's like good my desires have.

4:46.8

shifted and that's always something that I pay attention to when I feel that come on and it stays consistent for like several weeks and months and and it's something that I kind of start praying about and I'm like okay Lord why is this desire there like you know what what do I need to be doing you know to follow that and so I remember that happened and and I think you know we went from very much you know leading worship and singing and arenas and being a part of.

5:16.8

You know big kind of expressions of corporate worship to more of the small and hidden and I think it you know at first it was even hard for our kids you know because I feel like in Atlanta and kind of we're part of like the bigger thing that was known and I think they kind of felt more known in that and I remember when we were just like the family on the church pew and Franklin when we first moved back here and like no one knew us and.

5:44.9

But it was really good for our family I think to you know not be on the platform and kind of just be worshiping out in the you know in the audience and kind of being a family that not necessarily was like known for you know something in that place but just like we were people a family together you know showing up and really leaning on each other and God in that season I think that's a huge part of transitions is like you've got to have.

6:15.5

Your people around you know those people whose voices you trust of you've been saying and those people that have been courageous that you can kind of look to you have also like made those transition so that's also been huge like I had to have like those voices and I think to just.

6:32.6

Always really knowing that it is God leading you because there is going to be that moment when you do the move and you you know you unpack all the boxes you set up the house you you you start walking in the new direction.

6:46.6

And then you're like oh this isn't really this is really feel like what I thought it was going to be like and I think like I always talk about like getting past how it doesn't feel.

6:56.4

And that's just like a huge hurdle and even just like finding God in that place like this doesn't feel how I thought maybe it was going to feel.
