Thank you for listening to this message from Damon Thompson Ministries. What I want to talk about tonight and I and Brian referenced it earlier and

is becoming a real overarching theme of what I think the Lord's doing as it relates to us

emphasizing the lordship of the Holy Spirit. That is Christus Victor. I'm beginning

to come to the understanding that one of the principal ways that the Holy Spirit

unveals Christ for us is by showing us or teaching us victory, but

understand that the Holy Spirit doesn't just simply teach principle, but he actually renders nature.

That the Holy Spirit does not speak of himself, yes she has said, but he comes to reveal or render is a better word, me to you.

He's not just showing us Jesus, he's actually giving us the ability to know what it means

to be partakers of the divine nature.

And that's a big leap.

So there's some pneumatology around this,

but what the pneumatology is doing

is creating grace and space for us to have a higher measure of revelation regarding Christus

Victor. This is an increased Christology.

Numatology should always lead to increased Christology.

Christology will remain impoverished where there is not a sufficient pneumatology.

Let me say it like this. If the Holy Spirit is not a sufficient pneumatology.

Let me say it like this.

If the Holy Spirit's role is to unveil Jesus,

then when you're in a place where the Holy Spirit

is not allowed to move the way he intends to move, then there's a measure of who Christ is that you and I will never know.

It necessitates that you and I begin to live in a place where the spirit is Lord, because where the lordship of the spirit is on display,
