to Mission Impossible, Rogue Nation.

It's taken a while to get here, yes, but now as the film is out on DVD, Blu-ray and digital

HD, I hope you'll agree, it's been worth the wait.

Usually our spoiler specials include an interview with the director of the movie and question

followed by a roundtable discussion between a few empire writers.

Now we've only got one of those here today, the interview with the director, but what an

interview it is, if I do say so myself.

A few weeks ago, Christopher McCwory, the writer and director of the fifth Mission Impossible

movie, for that is of course what Rogue Nation is, popped into our pod booth to discuss the

films, ins and outs, ups and downs and twists and turns.

We'd scheduled 45 minutes for this, but he ended up chatting for close to 3 hours, 3 hours

about all things Rogue Nation, from its genesis to a detailed section of key scenes and characters

and loads of skinny on the scenes that didn't make the final cut.

It's not just an essential interview if you're a fan of Ethan Hunt and his impossible

mission in, it's an essential interview if you wanted to know about screenwriting from

one of the very best in the business, the Oscar winning screenwriter of the usual suspects

to name but one.

Right, that's enough blathering for me.

As usual, do not go any further if you haven't seen Mission Impossible Rogue Nation or if
