All right here, hello everyone, welcome to it. It is the Dericunder podcast for the 26th of December, 2022, in the end of 2022.

I am Dericunder. I am your host, it's really just an announcement today.

And this is going to have to suffice for the week that I've just decided. I don't feel like even like what's the point of a best of podcast whenever episode of the podcast is still available.

Just go back and pick something at random pick a random day and hit the play button if you really need to hear the sound of my nasally drone.

I encourage you to do just that. That's face it, they're all gold solid solid gold.

I hope your Christmas was awesome. Christmas was good. It was on the verge. I'll give you a quick story. It was on the verge of being really crappy. It certainly could have been really crappy.

We had that cold snap. God, it was cold. It was like four degrees. It felt like minus 22 degrees outside with the windshield.

Cold and windy. Cold and windy. Cold and windy. People were losing their power all over the place. We lucked out knock wood for most of the crappy storm.

Well, come Friday night. Christmas Eve Eve. It's bedtime-ish 11 o'clock. Getting ready to go upstairs. Everybody.

We're staying up. Right then, damn it if the power didn't go out. You heard the wind throughout the day, but at that point it didn't seem like it was howling anymore.

It's like crap. Well, we have electric heat. We have an electric furnace. I don't know how to explain it. I don't really understand how it works.

There's no nothing. We don't have a generator. We don't have anything. We're going to have to get one now. Thanks a lot just to have on standby for certain things.

But I'm just sitting there going crap. The kids sleep in their own beds, but when you need them to have body heat and our bed bedding is better than they're bedding, as you might imagine.

So throw them in bed with you to the wife. I'll sleep downstairs. And hopefully when the power comes, because you can't sleep in the bed with kids. It's a king size bed.

Walk up the other day. The kids around these makeshift beds they have on the floor. They went to bed next to each other. How do I know this? I put them to bed next to each other lying right next to each other in their pillow beds.

And they're made for floor sleeping.

I swear to God, they're sleeping. One has completely turned around. And they're both in between the two pillow beds, like feet to feet or whatever. I don't know how you do that.

Half the time I wake up and they're one of them is is is perpendicular to the other. I was like, how does this happen? Because in their sleep, they spinner. It's it's not night tears. It's more like sleep to rats.

It's karate chop and it's flopping around. It's I don't know what they don't wake up. They punch you in the face. They don't wake up.

You sure as hell do. But they don't notice. So I was like, I don't want to sleep. I prefer not to have them sleep in the bed.

It it happens if they get scared or whatever like that. But and if it's time when the heat is out, then sure. Yeah. But otherwise I'm like, man, you know what?
