Summary

Door Bumper Clear is back for our annual Christmas show. On today’s episode, Freddie, Tommy, and Karsyn are joined by the newly crowned Xfinity Series Champion Jesse Love. Jesse talks about how life as a Champion humbles you quickly, especially when you go on vacation with the Baldwin family. He also shares what it’s like racing against some of your best friends and how that dynamic will change with newcomer Brent Crews this season. In Spot on, Spot Off, Freddie discusses how big a loss Chris Gabehart leaving Joe Gibbs Racing is, Tommy breaks down his experience owning a chartered team in NASCAR, and Karsyn gets on Tommy for thinking Joey Logano’s new look was AI. Plus, we hear from the fans in Reaction Theatre, and Freddie has a surprise for the crew at the end!

how is your how's your off season been? Okay? I mean, off season. Well, I have an off season. I said, I said, I said him a text from Key West. How's it going? He said, I'm on the floor scrubbing, scrubbing floor. I was cleaning my floors on my knees. Yeah. How are you doing? Carson, how are you doing? I'm good. Just getting ready for the next cars tour season. The person that probably wants this off season, maybe to last a longer, or maybe not. Maybe he's ready to get back going, but he's had the most to celebrate at the table. The year 2025 Xfinity Series champion. Is it Xfinity or Riley? He's the X, he's the Xfinity champion. Okay. Right? Correct.

1:28.7

Jesse Love. How are you, sir? I've been good. I've been a little bit busier than I probably anticipated and have a lot of trips plan and got one trip playing with Tommy. So I'm looking forward to that. But yeah, I've definitely been pretty busy. Haven't really had much time to like just you know sit on the couch per se how was so break down

1:45.5

obviously phoenix we'll go through that uh but i mean winning the championship but how i mean

1:50.6

did you go into that race like feeling like you were the going to be as dominant as you were after

1:55.5

practice well after practice yeah i mean for sure i thought i'd be probably more dominant uh than we actually were after practice uh i think after practice, yeah. I mean, for sure. I thought I'd be probably more dominant than we actually were after practice. I feel like after practice, we probably had a 10th and a half on the field per se. So, yeah, I was definitely feeling really good about it. I felt really good about the whole week. Phoenix is a place that I've been to enough to where I really have a good understanding of it. And I kind of need that. I'm kind of one of

2:17.6

those drivers that needs a little bit of a notebook and something to build off of. But yeah, practice was

2:22.6

very promising. Yeah, I mean, I remember watching practice and I was, you know, you kind of just

2:27.6

scan the timing charts of seeing who's on what lap on tires and what their pace is. And I felt like

2:33.4

everybody else is pretty close.

2:34.5

You know, I'm looking at Connor.

2:35.4

I'm looking at the seven and they're within a tenth of each other.

2:37.7

And I'm like, oh, that's pretty good.

2:38.9

And then I look at Jesse and Jesse's like two tens to tenth and a half better.

2:43.9

I'm like, wait a minute.

2:45.5

Like, is my shit fucked up?

2:46.4

Is he on a different lap than everybody else on tires that I'm not paying attention to. But yeah, it looked like to me, you were, as long as we had long runs like we typically do there, you were going to be the guy to beat. That's what you look for every time like you're done with practice. You always look at that sheet. There's always the graph that he's talking about. It's like a dot chart graph. Probably not the actual word for it. But the dot, yeah, the old dot chart, right? And anyway, you look at that graph and you just hope that you're like one line below everybody else. And very rare is typically it's always Justin that like finds himself in that elite group in practice. But yeah, it was definitely good to be the one that stuck out there. It was huge confidence boost. Stockman probably wasn't excited at all, I would assume. Oh, he was pumped up.
