so we decided to make up the format.

Here's Tim Halford with a festive quiz.

Hello and welcome to more or less,

the programme that applies the nutcracker of truth to the numbers

in the news and in life.

And this week we have a very special festive edition.

And as you can hear, I am nursing a very special festive cold.

Sorry about that.

But I think this could be the start of a great new national Christmas tradition.

Roast Turkey dinner with all the trimmings, silly paper herds,

East Enders characters shouting each other on the box,

and now the official more or less Christmas quiz.

And four brave souls have taken up the challenge,

and they're here with me in the studio.

They formed two teams who are going to do battle

as they attempt to answer our shamelessly statistical questions.

They are Team Apple and Team Orange,

which means it's the one time of the year

where we are going to compare apples with oranges.
