Thank you for joining me again tonight if you're watching this live.

This is our chance to pray together as a nation

and to look to the guiding star,

the star over Bethlehem that guided the wise men to the hope of nations.

And wise men still follow the baby in the manger.

And so I want to ask you to pray with me tonight.

Dear God, I was so encouraged tonight by the receptivity to the idea of the value of the fruit of the spirit.

And you taught me a lesson about the need to always salt our speech with grace,

to season our words so that they are filled with the flavor of heaven.

God, thank you for giving us your promise that covenant keepers win and covenant breakers lose.

I, for one, Lord, ask you to look not upon my faults and my flaws and my daily failures,

but to increase my faith and to make me a man of true character through and

through, Lord, expose my weaknesses so that I can be strengthened.

Lord, teach us what you want us to know. Help us see what we are blind to. Speak words of truth

so that we are not deaf to reality and wisdom. And we ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. The scripture
