Next on in touch, Christmas, a time for giving.

Christmas is the happiest time of the year.

Not only is it the happiest time of the year,

but especially the happiest time of the year

for all of us who have believers

who know that Jesus Christ is our personal

savior. That doesn't mean that it's not a happy time the year for people who are unbelievers

because I think for the most part it is. There are those situations and circumstances where people have lost their loved ones,

maybe at Christmas time, or maybe they don't have much family left or any family left.

And so Christmas time can oftentimes be a time of sadness and sorrow and regret. But for the most part

it's the happiest time of the year and there's a reason for that and when you think

about how we celebrate, we who believe us, we go to church for example, we sing

carols, we likewise shop and we purchase and we wrap our gifts and decorate our trees and we have parties and we fellowship and we feast and we have a great time.

You say, what about the rest of the world? They do the same thing only they leave God out of it most of the time.

Think very little of him and probably don't go to church

at least for the most part. But the issue is what is it that makes Christmas the

happiest time of the year, the other times of the year that are probably

weatherwise may be much much better. But why is it Christmas and I'll tell you

why? Because Christmas is a time that more people are giving than any other time of the year.

Now we talk about commercializing Christmas and we talk about that we ought to make it more sacred and so forth
