Hello and season's greetings everyone.

We're back.

Yeah, we've been away from the podcast for a while, so we wanted to hop on just briefly

to wish everyone a happy holiday and to let everyone know that we are, in fact, still alive.

We were really hoping to have the Lady Francis episode out this year,

and it's close, but it's just not going to happen this year. So as David recently pointed

out to me, you know, we've been apologizing for our erratic release schedule since the third

episode, so we won't do that today. And we're apologizing for apologizing.

Yeah, but we are still here, and we thought that in the spirit today. And we're apologizing for apologizing. Yeah.

But we are still here and we thought that in the spirit of the season, we just share a few Sherlockian tidbits, just whatever little things we've been thinking about as the year comes

to a close with Christmas on the horizon.

Yeah, the season is Christmas.

So we have to talk about the Blue Carbuncle. Sure. I mean, I've already watched it this month. I will watch it again, as is tradition. But I kind of wonder about you guys. Like, do you have any specific carbuncle rituals? Do you have a glass of port, eggnog or a plate of disjective mbara? Just to raise money for presents. I like to sell all my books in the few weeks leading up.

Oh, very nice.

And then go and buy a beer from a man with exceptional sideburns.

Or mutton chops, if you want to call them that.

I think it would call chops.

What's funny is most years, I try to pick out an episode or two from different shows that are Christmassy.

Like, you know, if there's a Twilight Zone episode that's Christmasy or a night gallery or a Colombo or even like, you know, the West Wing or, you know, just something that's good in Christmassy and watch a few of those, I think there's even a Millennium episode that's Christmassy, which is weird but good. But no matter what we do watch, we always do watch the Blue Carb Uncle in that mix of three or four, whatever things we're going to watch that are Christmasy. I will say this, though, every year I think about trying to find a goose. And I just don't think you can do that in America. I don't know. Can you still get geese, David, in England? I'm sure you could if you looked hard enough, but I'm not, I don't ever, having worked in a supermarket for many a year, I don't ever remember us selling geese. It might not be a supermarket item. That's true. I don't remember seeing them in Butchers either.

You got to get in a goose club, I think, is what you need to be in.
