announce that returning to the podcast despite a desperate effort to spend a summer off the podcast

is our very own Christine Rosen. Christine, welcome back to people. You have no idea how many people

have said to me, where's Christine? We need Christine. We've got to get Christine back. It's not

the same without Christine. And I agreed and I important you and got you to agree to come back

when you when you can be back this summer. Yes, thank you so much. I just can't quit you guys. What

can I say? It was I missed you all and who knew that when I decided to take a few weeks off,

you know, the entire cultural the revolution of the past month would happen. So very happy to be back.

Well, that you did that to your fault, obviously, because you weren't here to keep the nation

and equilibrium. And we've now been thrown into, you know, the, the, the, the, the moon is going to

hurdle into the sun, all of that. Anyway, so you were not here on Friday when we very gingerly

and very gloomily and confusedly tried to deal with the consequences of the of the of the

Dobbs decision overturning Robi Wade and Casey versus plan parenthood of Pennsylvania.

So we've now had a weekend of reactions. And what strikes me about the reactions is at once

how utterly apocalyptic they are. Right? Women are no longer free. I mean, the dissenting opinion

basically says women are no longer free in the United States. You know, terrible things are

going to happen. Everything is terrible. The country is, you know, the, the tyranny has now

beset us and all that. And yet I don't feel I somehow thought that it was going to feel more

ethical and more transformational. And maybe the forces that want to rally against this haven't
