When we go through some struggle to learn a new instrument, to learn a new

language, to learn new behavior, you know, etc, we then forge a new neural

pathway. The more we work on that new behavior and move through

discomfort, oligodendocytes, astrocytes in your brain are lit up and the

myelination process occurs.

Think about an electrical wire that then has up like a coding on it.

Myelin then takes that new behavior, that new neural pathway,

and takes it from dial up to broadband.

So we don't necessarily drop old behaviors.

We create new behaviors that have greater amounts of myelin and become our default.
