And how do we drift? Well, after reading my guest book today, I realize there are countless

reasons we drift and countless ways to drift, and that's why it's so important that we keep our

high on the prize. We even take

inventory of our heart and our attitudes. Are we making little compromises, adjustments?

I've even realized when you're weary in battle, you can lose sight of the goodness of God. You can

drift from that. And that's when you hear that enemy say, did God really say, you know, and you

can forget who you are. Once had a pastor friend,

we were in a life group together, and his life just seemed perfect all the way around, a great

family, great church role, everything. Then he had an affair with a staff member, and you can

imagine the mess and the wreckage. Afterwards, he was just so humbly broken, and he came to us

and all of his different friends

and said, do you have any questions for me? And I just appealed to him with no condemnation,

but actually just a little bit of fear in my heart. I just had to know. I'm like, how did this

happen? Tell me how this happened. And he said, Susie, I just kept changing the rules a little

at a time. You know, we all can drift in different

ways. And that's why this book today and this conversation, I think, is divinely timed. Christine
