My first guest this week is the wonderful and brilliant Christine Beranski. She's an actor with an incredible resume. She went to Juilliard. She was on Broadway,

in The Real Thing, Rumors, House of Blue Leaves. She's won two Tony Awards. On the hit sitcom, Sibyl, she was the title character's best friend, Marianne. She's won two Tony Awards. On the hit sitcom, Sybil, she was the title character's

best friend, Marianne. She won an Emmy for that one. She's an iconic character actor with a distinctive

look that commands your attention on the screen. She is, and this is not a word I use lightly,

a legend.

In 2009, she got a part on the CBS show The Good Wife.

It was a legal political drama that starred Juliana Margulies.

Beransky played Diane Lockhart on the show, a partner at the firm where Marguerle's character worked.

Critics loved The Good Wife.

Millions watched it.

And when the show wrapped,

Beransky got her own spin-off, The Good Fight.

And once again, critics loved it.

Millions watched it.

When I talked with Boranski last year,

the Good Fight had just started running its sixth and final season.
