Hey, wonderful's welcome to the re-release of my very first JV club episode, Christina Hendricks.

I wanted to release this episode again as just kind of an acknowledgement in the celebration of the fact

that this podcast has been going on for eight years which is kind of bananas and I had

started recording it before that because I had banged a lot of episodes before I even started releasing them.

I really wanted to have a sort of library of things that I had already completed because I had this terrible fear that I would start a podcast and then I would somehow not come through with episodes regularly.

So for once in my life, I sort of did things

not as spontaneously and with a bit of planning.

And there are so many people who were so instrumental

in helping me get going eight years ago.

I'm acting like this is some sort of award speech.

It's 100% not, but just off the top of my head I wanted to just thank people

who were there at the beginning you know Chris and Katie

Levine at Nertist and later on Aristotle at Nertist and the people who just

encouraged me even though at the time I was like oh there's a lot of a lot of podcasts out there which just seems adorable now.

But as many of you know there weren't a whole lot of female voices in

podcasting eight years ago and I didn't feel like I saw that many female

guests in podcasting particularly in the comedy space so it was really

exciting to have a reason to get going on something and a topic that I am forever fascinated by adolescents as the sort of glue to hold the premise of the podcast together.

So people like TIG and Christina and Melanie and Connie,

those folks who had nothing to go on

other than me pitching this podcast to them and asking them to be

guests and asking them to be sort of vulnerable and personal with their teenage
