We're looking at the signs that Jesus said would precede his

literal visible return to this earth and one of those signs Jesus talked about

was an increase in both the intensity and frequency of

persecution for those who follow him.

Welcome to Pathway to Victory with author and pastor Dr Robert Jeffress.

Well some people think that being a Christian is supposed to be easy, but in reality, Christians

are not exempt from suffering.

In fact, our suffering is actually guaranteed. Today on

pathway to victory, Dr. Robert Jeffress describes the rising level of

persecution that Christians around the world can expect to see. Now here's our Bible teacher to introduce

today's message. Dr. Jeffress?

Thanks David and welcome to Pathway to Victory. Just a few years ago Amy and I had the blessing of becoming

first-time grandparents. Our daughter gave birth to triplets and you can imagine

the mix of joy and chaos at Jeffers Family gatherings. Now in addition to the happiness we feel, I'll confess,

I had moments of deep reflection as well. My three grandchildren have come into a world that's far different from the one I remember as a child.

When I was in grade school, we could say a prayer.

Read the Bible, express our Christian values. In five or ten years from now,

my grandchildren will likely face greater persecution

than Christians have ever known before in this country.
