The Christians who are following Satan's instruction many years ago in the time of the early church,

there was a great persecution that

broke out the first couple centuries as a matter of fact from the end of the first century actually

beginning with Nero I should say up to the third century there were 10 major persecutions against

Christians now something very odd happened, and that was this,

that many of the Christians, in order to prevent physical persecution,

beheading or death, denied their faith.

And these were people that were part of the church body.

They had been baptized in water.

They had confessed Christ, but out of fear

of death or torture, many of them denied the Lord. Then when another emperor arose, maybe they

were older now, the people were older now, and another emperor arose that was not involved

in the persecution as much or at all,

they then asked the church to forgive them and came back into the church and was rebaptized.

And this is in history.

This is in early church history.

And it's amazing how people who consider themselves

to be Christians or believers often fall

into different types of calamities or traps

or self-invited traps.

And one of those is what I'm about to tell you today.
