Thank you, Father, for sending Jesus. All right, I've been teaching through the book of Ephesians, and I've covered two chapters

in two sessions.

There's six chapters in Ephesians, and I've got two sessions left, which means I can't finish.

So I've got to pick and choose what I'm going to say. Let me just say that I hope that

this is encouraged due if nothing else to maybe read Ephesians with a different lens. And like I was

saying during the first two sessions, the first three chapters are basically about what has already been

done. Everything is in the past tense. God has already done it. And he's just praying that your

eyes would be open to what you already have. Then in chapter four, he begins to talk about because

God has done these things, now we should live holy and here's how we should

live. But notice the order of this. He didn't talk about all of the things we need to do and then

talk about what God would do. No, everything in the Christian life should come out of relationship

with the Lord. It is not in order to get relationship with the Lord.

That's a subtle difference, but it's huge. And there are a lot of people that honestly think that

by them studying the Word and praying and going to church and loving other people and forgiving

that this is what causes God to move in their life. It's just the opposite.

Our actions are actually the fruit and not the root of our relationship with God.

And if you really study it, that is very clear in the book of Ephesians. The first three

chapters are all about what's already been

done, and then it tells you how we should live with our brothers and sisters because of what

Jesus has already done for us. So again, I'm going to have to pick and choose. I hate to skip over
