With a country divided, the Republican risk and morality being redefined, it's time to get around the campfire, get back to basics, and spark the revival that this country so desperately needs.

I love this idea and we want to talk about the difference between classic conservatism, conservative political values, which are good, but different than spirit-filled Christianity.

And we have conservativism here in America.

We have liberalism, conservatism, and we have sort of Christian versions of both of those

things, unless they say that they are, mixtures of it. And the question is, what's going to save America?

Is it a set of political values, or is it the Christian faith and principles from God's

word that are somehow different than just those political value systems?

Exactly.

Well, the conservative movement, modern conservative movement

could be traced back to 1964, really, with that election for the presidency. But from there,

we see it develop on more of a secular base because the Christians were not voting. I remember

when I started my ministry in 76, only about 23% of the Christians were voting in elections.

The vast majority of Christians were staying home.

And so those that were fighting against socialism and communism that was coming at the time

were many times conservative, sometimes Christian, but many times not.

Just typical American kind of good old boys out there who didn't want to see it happen.

And so they were finding answers to...

At least they were doing something while many within the church were just staying in their

holy huddles and in their prayer groups and their Bible studies praying, but they weren't

actually putting feet to their faith and doing something to protect the nation from the onslaught

of wickedness.
