So here we are in 1st Peter chapter 3 verse 8 is where we're picking up 1st

Peter 3 8 and we're changing from where Peter's been talking about specific areas

of submission governments you, to authorities in our lives,

bosses, that type of thing, and then finally in marriage.

And he talks about the role of the wife, and then we did a whole thing on the role of the

wife, and then the role of the husband.

But now we're moving away from the... we did a whole thing on the role of the wife and then the role of the husband.

But now we're moving away from the like sort of life scenario specific advice to just this sort of

character advice.

Like Christ likeness is the deal general rules of character because we need this

I'm actually really blessed by how often in the epistles issues of just general character goodness come up.

I think it's really important for us.

Because too often we can forget the heart of what it means to follow Jesus

and that it means a submission of my very being, my person, my

personality even unto Christ for his will and for his plan. And so here we are 1st Peter chapter 3 verse 8, it says finally all of you be of one mind

having compassion for one another love as brothers be tender-hearted be courteous.

Now the statements all of you I think it's because he's shifting gears.

If you remember, you know, husband's this, wives this, you know, Masters this masters this servants this all that kind of thing so now he's like all of you now let's encompass everybody this applies to everyone to be of one mind whether you're the government person who works in government, you're this authority

person, or if you're just the citizen, or if you're the master or the bond servant, you're the wife,

you're the husband, were to be of one mind.
