Mike Green, I'm here in Marin County, and I'm reaching out across the world to my friend in London,

Christian Angermeyer. Christian, you and I have known each other for a number of years through a couple

of different vectors, through Steve Drobney, through Peter Thiel. You are an investor through your

private family office, Aperon, and in particular, we're here to talk about

two companies that you've become involved with, Compass Pathways and a Thai life sciences.

Both of them are tied into the psychedelic space. And so I've done other interviews around cannabis

stocks, et cetera, but this is a new move into an area

that most investors have no exposure to or have very limited exposure to and that traditionally

would have been thought of as very, very fringe.

But these two companies are doing something very mainstream, right?

So Compass is extremely focused on the idea of psilocybin in the treatment of depression,

magic mushrooms, the active ingredient in them.

And a tie brings that in a much broader sense, basically exploring what have traditionally been

used as recreational drugs or illicit drugs and exploring their pharmaceutical properties for the treatment of a wide

variety of conditions. Now, Compass is public and a tie by the time this comes out, we're pre-recording

this, but by the time this comes out, a tie will also be public. I'd love to understand how you

got interested in this space. What was it that drew you into trying to understand the role that these historical drug

compounds played in society and the treatment of illnesses and how they could work in the

21st century?
