Well, today is Ascension Day. We've been talking about it all week on Revive Our Hearts.

Of course, a few weeks ago, we remembered Jesus' death and his resurrection.

And today, we celebrate the day all those years ago that he ascended into heaven,

where he's now seated at the right hand of God.

Nancy's been teaching in a series called Christ, our reigning priest and king.

Let's listen as she wraps up the final program today.

The Word of the Lord, Psalm 110, a Psalm of David.

The Lord, Yahweh, says to my Lord, David's Lord, Adonai, Messiah.

So the father is speaking to the son. Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.

And then we have the psalmist speaking to Messiah. The Lord sends forth from Zion Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of

your enemies. Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power in holy garments.

From the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.

Verse four, the Lord has sworn and will not change his mind. you, Christ, Messiah, you are a priest forever

after the order of Melchizedek. So we have the king, priest, picture of Christ, the Messiah.

And then in these last three verses, the Psalmist speaks about the Messiah to the father.
