Greetings, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Every Square Inch.

My name is Robert Cunningham, and this podcast is the main public thought outlet of a new ministry we have formed called Christ for Kentucky. This is the second part of a series

I'm doing explaining our organization. It's vision, mission, work, and so forth. So in the first

episode, I explained the name of our organization, Christ for Kentucky. And now in this episode, I want to go into detail of what exactly our ministry will be doing.

I said that we are establishing a work devoted to Christ's promise redemption here in Kentucky.

But that vision will admittedly die the death of vaunted idealism if it's not fleshed out in real practicalities

and that is what I want to detail in this episode and I think the best way to do that is to

simply unpack our mission statement much like I unpacked our name in the last episode. So this is what Christ

for Kentucky is all about. Public theology and strategy for the common good of the common

wealth. That's what we do. We are a ministry that offers public theology and strategy for the

common good of the commonwealth. Let me unpack that for us.

When we pray, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. What we are

praying for is a new world, or maybe a better word is not new, but renew. We are not asking for a world altogether new.

We are asking for this world renewed.

We are praying for the world as we know it to become the world as we ought to know it.

And I will flesh out that theological concept in an upcoming podcast.

But for now, what does that require on a practical

level? I have spent a lot of time researching and thinking through the idea of societal change.

I've looked at it from a biblical lens, a theological lens, a sociological lens.

I've thought about this subject perhaps as much as any other.

And this ministry in many ways is just the outlet for me to enact the convictions and applications

I've made from all of that thought work.
