Have you ever felt like the God you were taught to worship doesn't match the God you actually experience?

Like there's this massive gap between what you were told to believe and what your soul knows is true.

I grew up in a world where God was kind of like a checklist.

Say the right prayers, follow the right rules, fear the right things.

And for a long time, I thought leaving religion meant leaving God entirely.

I couldn't even say the word God without feeling like I was betraying the version of myself that had fought so hard to break

free. So I called it the universe instead. The source. Anything but the loaded word that carried so

much baggage. But here's what I've learned. Deconstructing your faith is not the same as losing

your connection to something greater.

Sometimes you have to tear down the walls of the house you were raised in to discover that the foundation was always sacred. The first thing that came to me that I share with everybody that was

the first seed of higher self and to lower self was nobody in the Bible spoke English.

And I thought, wait a minute, I would have never thought of that.

I just assumed when I read the Bible, Jesus said this and Paul said that and the prophet said

that, but I thought they didn't speak English.

So what did they say?

Think about that.

What if the God you rejected wasn't actually God at all, but a mistranslation?

A cultural overlay designed to control rather than liberate.

And want to know what's crazy?

Religious trauma rewires your brain the same way complex PTSD does. Your nervous system doesn't remember doctrine.

It remembers the fear, the shame, the feeling of never being enough.

And even when you logically reject those teachings, your body still carries the imprint.
