Really excited about this episode because after about six months, or actually eight months

of doing this podcast, my co-host, Matt Bates, and I are actually co-hosting an episode

together.

We're both pretty busy in different time zones, and I think there's maybe a slight reticence on Matt's part to be heard with me in public.

But he's graciously agreed to co-host finally together.

So Matt and I have been friends since we attended

Regent College together back beginning in 2001. Is that when you started Matt back in 2001?

Yes, 2001. And did we, did we meet in Ian Provins, Herminic's and Criticism Class? Is that

where we first met? Quite possibly. That would be my guess. But I don't, I don't remember, although undoubtedly

you were a striking figure. My memory is for such things.

Yes. Yes, that's definitely true. And we also went to the same church, so that that's possibly

where we met too. But in any case, we struck up our friendship and our, throughout our

friendship, our discussions often devolved into biblical studies, which is the backdrop, really, of us

wanting to do this podcast. But I'm also thrilled to have our guests today, Chris Tilling,

who is senior lecture of New Testament Studies at St.

Melitis College, and author of the book Paul's Divine Christology, published by Morsey back in

2012 and then republished by Urban's in 2015. So, Chris, welcome to Onscript.
