Look at this, Shereen Williams, been with us at PFT for five years now inducted on Saturday

night into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, her good friend and former colleague at the

Fort Worth Star Telegram, Clarence, E. Hill, Jr., presenting her, our buddy John McClain,

one of the eight that were inducted on Saturday night.

And it's so funny and Shereen was reminiscing about this over the weekend and we were sharing

some text messages last night.

She got laid off five years ago by the Fort Worth Star Telegram and I remember thinking

this is just horrible, this is awful.

What are they thinking?

What are they doing?

She's great.

She's awesome.

And then like it flipped instantly.

Oh crap.

I'm going to go higher.

And it was, it's just been, it's just been great.

And she said, and I have the receipts to prove it.

People may not believe it.

She said they getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to her professionally

because it brought her to PFT.

Now of course she gets a paycheck so I would expect her to say that, but still, still
