| 0:00.0 | Wow. Hello and welcome to the abroad in Japan podcast. Probably the best way of learning about life in Japan without actually being in Japan. We are firmly in Japan today and we're in a hotel room with the one, the only. Riotr-Age Sakurai. Hello everyone, it's been a while. It's been a while. How long was that? How long was that? Yeah. Well, you were at the wedding? Yeah, oh yeah. That wasn't too long. Okay. That was little, no, no. I mean, last podcast. We did. Oh, ages again. We're trying to keep him off. Also, he came into my hotel room with a packet of smelly, oily. I've been eating. I've been eating. I've been eating. I've been eating. I've been trying to do like a good job avoiding like shitty food this year. |
| 0:38.3 | Or shitty food that you've been eating every day. |
| 0:40.3 | The whole hotel room. I'm staying here for a few days. The whole room now smells of Ronald McDonald's fucking oil drum. |
| 0:47.3 | So that I can seduce you to like into that the world again. |
| 0:53.3 | No, I'm a change man. I'm a change man. You're saying, no. Yeah, because I'm like 36 years old in a minute, like a few days. Uh huh? And I was like, the day I turn 35, I'm gonna get fit once and for all. That didn't happen. Then I changed it to the day I turn 36. I'm gonna get fit once and for all. Are you going to repeat this over? No, but I'm off to a good start, right? I've started this year. I was pretty not healthy because the stressors and strains of last year and the wedding. And I just ate a lot of sausage rolls in the UK. But I've just been like running, I've been getting fit, I've been eating more carefully. |
| 1:28.3 | True, though, you're being losing weight, right? Yeah, I'm tripped. And I'm about to go on a cycle in about, what, three or four days time? The cycle with a food, right? Cycle with a food. Cycling with Conor, and on the cycle, I often try and eat loads of food right to say kind of alive while I'm doing it. |
| 1:45.3 | I probably eat too much. |
| 1:47.3 | And this time cycle, I often try and eat loads of food right to say kind of alive while I'm doing it. |
| 1:45.6 | I probably eat too much and this time I'm going to try and eat not so much and actually try and |
| 1:51.0 | treat the cycle like an opportunity to get fit. Because what normally happens is I finish it and I'm like |
| 1:55.1 | five kilograms heavier because I've eaten so much. What the point, right? Carbohydrates to get fit. |
| 2:00.7 | I think I was more worried about like dying on the cycle than losing weight before. But this time I feel like maybe I'm going to lose weight. Maybe I've got two weeks right. Every day I'm going to do like 100 kilometres. I can lose weight. Where you're starting from? We're starting in Alma of all places. But that's already like you're losing it there. You know what I mean? Like the OMA, like what do you eat in your Oma of all places. But that's already, like, you're losing it there. You know what I mean? Like, Oma, like, what do you eat in your Oma? Well, Cheen it. It was the most of the start, exactly. You start from like a patio tour, that's what it is, right? That is true. You're losing it already. It's off the concerning stuff. But yeah, but like, you know, it's all right. |
| 2:34.5 | So you try hard and see how... |
| 2:37.4 | So what's your destination this time? |
| 2:39.1 | So this time we're cycling from Orma, which was inspired by our video. |
| 2:43.0 | Like I kind of devised the route for this cycling film. |
| 2:45.4 | Which is my idea. |
| 2:46.8 | She was... |
| 2:47.2 | Goodness. |
| 2:48.2 | And... |
| 2:49.0 | I was our video that inspired the location. |
| 2:51.9 | And I kind of thought of the route this time because every year, you know, we cover a new part of the country. |
