I'd already had combat experience because I deployed in 1994 to Somalia.

There we are.

We're in a fighting position and we're taking rounds.

You know, you can hear the bullwhip going off our heads.

For anybody who's not experienced it, it sounds just like being at the butts in the Marine Corps.

We're pulling targets in Marine Corps boot camp.

And so, you know, we're taking AK fire, RPG fire,

reporters. We started shooting back at people, our sergeant. Like, I'm a corporal, so my sergeant's

in there. And he's leaned up against the wall. And he's just, I've never seen a black man

but white before, but that's as close as I've seen it. And he just had him, like, he was someplace else.

And I was yelling at him like, Sergeant, Sergeant, Sergeant, I'm like, get your weapon, man. And he just, well, shit, I'm not dying. I'm not dying. I'm not dying from no man's cause. And I slapped him. And I grabbed my flag and he'll wake the fuck up. And he's like, I'm not doing it. I can't do it. I can't do it.

And he literally sat in that hole for, we were there for three days.

So never poked his head above that burn for three days while the entire unit

was shooting and getting shot at I mean what happened after that like when you guys came home

or once I've never mentioned it publicly until now really Wow. Really? When hunting isn't about hunting at all.
