Mother Texas has been arrested after allegedly taking alcoholic jello shots to her fifth grader school Christmas

party. 15 students consumed the holiday theme shots. They were laid out on a table with other

treats at Jones Elementary School in Tyler, December 20th, and nearly all reported having stomach

aches, headaches, some people vomited. One student told police he vomited twice at school that day.

Another student said he had six jello shots, got dizzy, and fell down.

And he also said he felt like he couldn't get back on his feet.

Yeah.

Teresa Bernal, 33, purchased the jellos shots from a home-based business.

She found on Facebook.

She told a Tyler Independent School District Police Officer that she only learned they contain alcohol after children consume them.

In my opinion, there's no way, Bernal could have missed the fact that Jell-O shots contained drinking alcohol, according to the officer.

Noting the business that sold the shots has a disclaimer, stating that they contain vodka.

And the owner of the business claimed that she had ordered the shots on purpose.

Nearly all the shots were gone by the time school staff realized the issue.

Some teachers told police they found it odd

that a parent would bring jello shots to a class party.

It is odd.

But trusted that the parent volunteer at the school

would not introduce anything harmful.
