Cluey made waves last year when he wrote a letter to the sports news site Deadspin, calling out a homophobic state lawmaker. Right, so the gist of this story is... Last year, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendan Iyenne de Bejoed expressed support for same-sex marriage in Maryland. Then Maryland state lawmaker Emmett C. Burns, Jr. wrote to the owner of the Ravens. He tried to get the Ravens to muzzle Ianda Bejo's support for marriage equality because, you know, he thinks the NFL is one of America's last bastions for homophobia. And that's when Chris Cluey wrote his open letter to the lawmaker in Deadspin. Here's a little taste of that letter.
