I went to a co-ed junior high school and in eighth grade, I was the second shortest person in my class.

I was second only to Judy Belotion.

Judy, if you're listening, thank you for that.

But the next year I desperately wanted to play football and I was four foot nine and I wait 89 pounds.

I know that because we did away and before tryouts.

And my coach said to me, you know, after he basically said I was never going to play, he said,

you should try wrestling because you're so small, no one will be in your weight group.

You'll have to forfeit every match.

So you'll just win all these matches and probably be undefeated.

And so as sad as I was about not being able to play football, I went to one wrestling practice.

And there was something about grappling with other men at that age that I just couldn't not to be.

Oh, I thought you were going to say that you just didn't want to win by forfeit every time.

Oh, no. That would be great.

No, I didn't want to, I didn't want to question my sexuality, which was already, you know, the tenuous.
