You've been staying way too long. Welcome to the Ralph Nader Radio Hour. My name is Steve Scrovan along with my co-host

David Feldman and The Man of the Hour, Ralph Nader. This show is jam-packed today so we're going to get right to it.

In the second half of the show we're going to be talking to MIT Professor Dr Nicholas Ashford, who is in Greece and has written a lot about globalization and

sustainability in industrial economies.

Professor Ashford is going to give us his perspective on what is going on over there

and what it means for Europe and the world.

But before we get to that, David, I'm very excited to hear from our first guest who I've had

the pleasure of actually meeting and I've read a number of his books.

So David, tell us about our first guest.

Thanks, Steve. Our first guest is Chris Hedges. His new book is Wages of Rebellion,

the moral imperative of revolt. Chris Hedges has spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent in Central America, the Middle East,

Africa and the Balkans, pretty much anywhere there was trouble.

He has written besides wages of rebellion, the Moral Imperative of Revolt.

He's written 12 other books, including the New York Times Best Seller Days of Destruction,

Days of Revolt, which he co-authored with the cartoonist Joe Sacco.
