Hello and welcome to another Collecting Cars podcast.

Been a while I know but during lockdown it's been difficult.

But this time I am doing it over the telephone

line to my guest J.F Musial who is over in New York and I'm currently in the UK

Edward obviously can't be on this because we can't

triangulate the call and we're not doing one of those Zoom calls because Zoom is far too

trendy for a man like me. Now J.F. Musial is a name that many of you will know because he was the man that founded the Drive Channel on YouTube in 2012 and persuaded me to go and work with him and ever since then are parts of crossed an awful lot and it's been a really, really fantastic

and at times a traumatic journey and I want to go through some of that now and hopefully JF and I can tell you some of the stories that surround building what was probably the biggest

automotive YouTube channel at the time.

So JF, welcome to the Collecting Cars podcast and first of all can you start off by telling us

who you are where you came from and how you ended up making films about cars?

I'm Chris the easiest way to put it is that, you know, I'm just a normal kid.

I was a normal kid in high school, I was a normal kid in college, I went to an engineering

school, but I grew up loving cars.

I think, you know, I think all of us in this entire industry,

we had that kind of thing where it was either our father

or our brothers or sisters, whoever may be,

that kind of got us into cars.

And my whole track in life was to be an engineer.

My family is full of architecture and engineers
