When I get up to the space station on my third flight, yeah, after I'd been there like

a day, I'm going, hey, where's the guitar up here?

Because there's one permanently up there.

And it's just so weird and different without gravity with not pushing the fluid out of your

head.

It's hard to sing, it's hard to play.

So yeah, it took me a while to sort of relearn a skill that I already had on Earth.

But it did hit a silver lining because my sinuses were always congested because there's

no gravity to pull it down.

It was a little easier to hit the high notes.

I found which for covering Bowie, you know, if you think about space-oddity, it actually

worked in my advantage a little bit to not have a deeper register.

That's Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield talking about a few moments of his life that have

now been watched by tens of millions of us Earthbound humans.

It was when, as Commander of the International Space Station, he took a brief break from

his responsibilities to sing the David Bowie song, Space-oddity.
