As I mentioned late last week, I'm on vacation this week, but I did record a show for today.

Jumping on with me right now is a legend in D.C. television news. That is not overstated at all. Chris Gordon started at

Channel 9 back in 1975, and he retired from local news just over three years ago to pursue. I think

what you actually trained for, which was to be a lawyer.

And, you know, over the years, you were a staple in the lives of those of us that consumed local news,

and it doesn't happen as much as it used to. And you were everywhere. You were at Channel 9 to start, and I do remember you at

Channel 9. Channel 7, I know you were there, and obviously at Channel 4 for a long period of time,

I think nearly two decades at Channel 4. How come you never made it to Channel 5?

Oh, yes. First of all, thank you.

And I know you do, you work very hard, and you do your research, and you're spot on.

I actually was in discussions at one point to go to Channel 5 in a very prominent position,
