Hey, Emma. What's up? How we doing? Happy Monday. Happy Monday to you too, man. It's been a busy couple of

days with the Bears playing their preseason finale. So take us there. Well, what was going on up there?

What do we need to know? Well, the highlight of Friday night was obviously the finish. And Tyson,

Bajon, leading him downfield, Jade Walker having a catch-all on the sidelines, hauling in the go-head

touchdown with three seconds left. That was a lot of fun. But there's plenty to clean up. And I guess

inside that locker, like there was the feeling of wasn't good enough. You heard from the head

coach publicly saying that he was disappointed by the effort of his starters.

And he certainly made that clear privately as well when he talked to these guys inside the locker room.

So today's the first day back.

Players had the weekend off and they got to regrouping.

This is kind of this awkward week zero where you're turning the page to week one,

to the opener to game planning for the Vikings. But they have plenty to clean up too. So we got to hear from Declan Doyle, the first-year offensive coordinator. He covered plenty because there's a lot they got to pick up the pieces from Friday night. So let's get right to it. Here's Declan Doyle. The first, I would say couple series were not up to our standard of how we wanted to play.

You know, talking about the first snap of the game, what happens is we end up snapping the ball a little bit late.

We end up having to rush the ball handling a little bit and the ball ends up on the ground,

which anytime it's on the ground, it's unacceptable.

But, you know, obviously you don't want to start the game that way.

And so negative play right away from

the rip and then we put ourselves in a second down and kind of a challenging situation but that's

something that you know has to get cleaned up with with the ball handling and the quarterback and

anytime we're going to be ball handling with a receiver that's something that you know we want to

make sure that it gets off.

And so, obviously disappointing, but that's kind of how it happened.
