Welcome back to another edition of the Wolverine.com podcast. We were with Doug Skeen, Michigan's former All-Big Ten offensive lineman who played in the bowl game in Florida. One, I believe.

Yeah, it's just a beautiful. Yep. Yeah, but he's got the MVP trophy to show for it. Where is it? Do you guys like pass it among yourselves, the, the offensive linemen from that team? Or what? Who's got it now? Yeah, I think there are multiple trophies. And here's an unknown fact.

They only gave that trophy to the starting five offensive linemen. And I technically didn't start that game.

So around this room here, you can see behind me. I just have pictures of my classmates and a couple of linemates and my championship rings there behind me, but my helmet.

But I do not have a copy of that trophy, but I can tell you that ever it does.

And it's somewhere in the South Florida compound down there in the lower keys amongst all

the other stuff. And Tommy Doring got one. And I think Dangman and Scrap, all those guys got one of

those trophies. But it was a collective effort because I think every one of the offensive

linemen played in that game up there in Jacksonville in 1990. And it was a fun week. I was just reminiscing about

the old bowl trips and which ones were fun and what we did. My kids were asking about it.

And I said the highlight of that week for me, looking back on it, obviously outside the football

game, there were two things that happened. Number one, we got to go visit and tour an

active duty aircraft carrier at the naval base. And as a kid who grew up building models and loving

airplanes and military jets, I just nerded totally out ballast. It was one of the coolest

experiences in my life getting to tour that ship,

and people don't understand that haven't been up close to one, just how massive they are.

So that was really cool experience for me and several of my teammates. And then the second

memory from that trip off the field was just being around Jacksonville and horsing around with my

buddies, fellow winemen and seeing the social side of Jacksonville, Florida for a week,

and then finishing that week out there on the coastline. We moved out. We were in some

our seaside resort. And after the game that night i remember uh several dudes in the

middle of the night and one unnamed person at this time trying to surf on the ironing board from the
