Welcome to another edition of the Ballas and Skeen podcast. This is what post-Purdue actually, and got a lot to talk about here. We got a bi-week coming up with me, Doug Skeen, Michigan's five-time Big Ten champion, played for Bill Parcells. Was it all Big Ten guy in his senior year? Probably would have had a really nice long career in the NFL if he had blown out his

knee. But instead, we get him with a full compliment of brains. So we appreciate that.

I'm not sure about that sometimes. Yeah, your wife probably isn't either. But at the same time,

here we are. Good stuff. So scheme. Let's talk about Michigan Purdue. We were just talking about this off

the air with our young guys, Anthony and Clayton, and wore the big game blues and played like,

didn't really play up to it, I guess, but more than anything, I was disappointed with the attention

to detail. Again, I understand that there are a lot of injuries on this team. You have three

freshmen in the lineup, essentially, on the offensive line.

But it looked to me like your quarterback is looking a little skittish in there and just some things that are lacking really for good fundamental football.

Well, the impression is coming out of that game ballast is I think we're pretty good at running the football.

I think Jordan Marshall is a heck of a tough back.

Love the way that kid runs.

And we block really well at times when we're running the football.

That's the positive about this offense.

And it looks like that's who we are again,

even though we were supposed to have some significant balance to this offense.

And the new offensive coordinator was going to do some different things

to allow this very talented young quarterback of ours and Underwood to run around and display his skills.

And yet here we are back to power football. And that's okay. I think that's okay to be a really

not good Michigan State team and to be a really underwhelming Purdue team. And you can hand it off

40 or 50 times and win football games.

And that is true.
