Hello everybody, it's Reed Tracy. Welcome back to the You Can Heal Your Life podcast. Today we have with us Chris and and she has done two tarot decks for us here at Hey House, the lights years tarot and the muse tarot.

And this is the first time actually I've talked in with Chris and and so I wanted to introduce her to all of you. So how are you doing Chris and.

Hi, I'm good. Thank you. Thank you so much for having me.

I know.

So I'm really excited.

Yep, I'm excited as well and I know we've released your your car decks and there been very, very well received people love love them.

And I was just wondering a little bit about how you got started like why did you create these tarot decks are what got you interested in tarot like that kind of thing.

Oh my goodness so many things when I was I mean I've always liked tarot-ish sort of things even when I was young and that was very strange in my household I come from a household where that was not really allowed or not really my parents weren't into any of this you know kind of esoteric mystical thinking at all.

But when I was little I mean I was talking to my mom about this just two nights ago that you don't remember like when I was a kid and we go in you know you get 25 cents and you go to get candy in the candy store.

And I would often there were these little scrolls that you could buy that were like asked I don't know if you remember them from the 80s there are these little astrology scrolls and they were maybe 50 cents or a dollar and I would save my quarters and I would buy those scrolls.

I was just always really interested in getting to know ourselves in different ways you know from a from a really young age but then I sort of left that as so many people do and I got into you know what I thought was more.

I want to put it in quotes here real work you know I became a designer and I started working in more corporate design and always had a love for art and visual communication and then slowly I just came back to the things that I always loved and just started to incorporate them more and more into my work and.

I actually at one point when I was working with clients I started bringing oracle decks into some meetings with them and some people thought that was really bizarre and I didn't get called back again.

And so people loved it and we just kind of I explored that with clients to kind of figure out what was going on with their business at first because I worked in more marketing and branding design and I just.

Slowly over time realize that it was just such an effective tool for for even a strategic meeting so I just kept exploring that and looking for the right decks and couldn't find the deck that was the perfect deck for that and so that's kind of where I thought I'm going to try and create something that will work for my needs and then kind of just all evolved from there.

And were you doing like tarot readings for people like how come what was your attraction to the tarot.

I wasn't doing tarot readings like I was never sitting somewhere and having people come in and I was the reader I was actually just bringing them into a more strategic setting like when I mean I was doing them for myself and my friends and that sort of thing but.

As from a professional side I really only use tarot in a much more let's dig into what are the things we can't see what's blocking us know using it or what's what is really blocking you emotionally from moving ahead in whatever that dream is and that's kind of my.

That was really where I started to use tarot professionally.

Wow so I'd like to overcome blocks for you and for clients even in your design business.

Absolutely absolutely like 100% I used it for myself like I was always using cards I've always just you know I loved cards since I was a teenager but it was more let's look at what's going on in for other people because people would always come to me and say you know what I think I need.

Any website that's not that's why my business isn't working or I need a new logo or whatever it was that they thought that they needed new campaign.
