Tonight we're kicking off a new series called The Name, and really what it's all about

is pretty simple, and it is that we want to be people, and collectively we want to be

a church that's about one thing, and we have some core values, some culture values that

we're sort of trying to put in play as a church, because we're a new church and just to

be flat out honest.

Some of you came from other churches and you had your own culture and your own language

and your own values and things that were important, and that's awesome.

But we're trying to establish our culture and our language and our values, and so we

talked about our three theological anchors, Glory of God, our radical grace, and full

on extravagant worship.

We've put those in play.

We've talked about being the light of the world, door holders for the world, and restores

of the city.

We're starting to put some of the main ideas in play, and there are a few more.

But at the top of the list is this, that we want to be a people, and we want to be a church.

That's about one thing.

And when I tell you what it is, you're going to look back at me, kind of like, really,

that's the thing that you really want to talk about, because it seems obvious, but it's

really not.

And the thing that we want to be about as people, and the thing that we want to be about

as a church is the name.

That's what we want to be known for.
