Hey, busy moms. Are you training your children to help you around the house? Hey, I'm Heidi St. John. And I want to talk to you about well-trained children today because they are not only a

blessing to their parents, they are better equipped for life as adults. I put a chore chart from my friend Tony up at

the busy mom on Facebook, and I thought, oh, this is a nothing, you know, people will, of course,

everyone will be like, yes, chores for your children. I was amazed at how much controversy this

little chore chart chart generated.

But here's a thing, teaching your children to help around the house is actually a biblical principle.

In Proverbs 226, the Bible says, train up a child in the way he should go.

And when he's old, he won't depart from it.

So for just a minute, I want to give you, throw out some ideas of things that might be age appropriate

for your children.

Did you know that toddlers, even the ages of two and three,

can help you around the house?

And what's more, at that age?

I'm telling you what?

They like to help you.

So take advantage of it while they still like it.

They can pick up and put away toys.

They can help you unload the dishwasher.

They can dust with a feathered duster or a rag.

You know, this is one mom really got upset.
