Summary
Do you ever sense that there’s an inner battle between who you truly are and this perfect version of you that you’ve been conditioned to show up as in the world? Maybe inside you feel creative, expressive, and free. But, on the outside, you’ve had to silence that “messy” part to present a more professional you to be accepted by others.
Somewhere along the way, you were taught you had to choose: will I be creative or will I be organized? Will I be laid back or will I be professional? Somewhere, that divide happened and you felt you couldn’t be this AND that. But, the truth is, in this grey area, is you. All of you. The fullness of you.
In this coaching episode, I explore this topic with Beth - a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion educator who recently decided to pivot her business from working with larger corporations to working with smaller, more creative businesses. But, once she made this decision, even more corporate opportunities came knocking at her door, which left her wondering if she’d made the right choice. Is the Universe leading her away from her newly discovered creative self and back to the corporate version? Together, we discover just how living in the grey area can be an integration of both versions of herself.
