0:37.9	stories of the Bible and to this point we've not gotten out of the book of Genesis. Let me put you
0:42.8	at ease. We're not going to spend this much time in every book. Genesis is not only the first
0:48.0	book of the Bible but it encompasses thousands of years and some of the great journeys of the Bible
0:53.0	are found there. But today we're taking
0:55.6	another step. We're going the second mile. We're going to the book of Exodus. Today I want to talk
1:00.7	to you about the great journey that Moses had with God. Now his story, of course, is in the opening
1:08.3	pages of the book of Exodus. and it continues really throughout the book
1:12.0	because his journey becomes the journey of the children of Israel. But this is beautiful to me.
1:18.4	Before the children of Israel had their 40-year journey with God, Moses had his 40-year journey with God.
1:26.7	I'm thinking now the words of the song,
1:28.3	This world is not my home.
1:29.6	I'm just a passing through.
1:30.8	My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
1:34.1	Well, I think Moses was a man who understood that.
1:38.2	He understood this world was not his home,
1:40.7	not in Egypt, not even in the desert, not on the backside of Midian. He was in lots of different
1:46.6	geographical locations, but he was looking for something greater. He was looking for the Lord. He was
1:53.2	looking for all God had for him. Now his story is found in Exodus, but I want to read to a summary
