The grocery store aisle was flooded with way too much fluorescent white light at 1am.

It buzzed like a fistful of flies that had been trapped behind the fixture.

Ralph did not want to do all the shopping after midnight, but it was the reality of someone

whose stocking shift ended just minutes before the daily calendar flip.
