I'm from Brisbane and Queensland.

I didn't grow up wanting to be a campaign manager for a tax organization.

That wasn't really part of the plan. I was just

very, very interested in politics from a very young age. I was a complete nerd at school.

I remember actually being picked on a little bit for being a bit obsessed

because I was always reading newspapers and watching political shows.

It was quite an odd obsession that I had.
