Well, hello and welcome to the chipping forecast.

At the end of, not quite at the end of day one of the Open Championship,

actually there are a few players still to come in.

And someone Ian Carter could make a move, and by someone I mean Dan Brown.

So we're watching him, listen, this happens at the open.

He always gets somebody in one of the last few groups out, and Dan Brown is out in the penultimate group.

Great story as well, but he could surpass Shane Lowry after his 66. So we'll just take us through a few names on the board. Yeah, it's been a fascinating day. Dan Brown, as you say, is at four under par. The voice

you heard in the background there is announcing Shane Lowry going into the interview room after his five underpass 66 played

really really well today Justin Thomas is 68 this morning Eddie's tip Alex Norren round in a 69 to be two under par Justin Rose

Nikolai Hoygard Sandus Chofle this afternoon I think he's a real danger man.

Joe Dean's having a good day. He's coming down the closing stretch at two under par as well.

And of course, the other headlines, really disappointing day for Rory McElroy and for Tigerwood,

78 and 79, respectively. But you've got to help me out here. This is

the end of what has been an exhausting day. I've just been on the golf course, basically from dawn

to... Following one group in the morning, one group in the afternoon. Yeah, so I followed Rory McElroy this

morning. I've followed Scotty Sheffler this afternoon. And for the life of me, you said Dan Brown's a great story. And I was going down the 18th. I'm thinking, what was the book that Dan Brown wrote? The Da Vinci Code. That's it. And then Angels and Demons. I mean, both very bad books, but very successful. So it doesn't really matter. I quite enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. Yeah, page turner.

An absolute page turner.

So when I say a bad book, actually not. What's it called?

I'm thinking the Holy Grail.
