Summary
En el segundo capítulo de China y los Viajes de Marco Polo, nos convertimos en sus compañeros de viaje. Tomaremos por tierra la Ruta de la Seda. Hablaremos del Reino de Armenia, de las tierras que hoy corresponden a Irak, del magnífico Califato de Bagdad, del ineludible referente de la Gran Persia, del antiguo Afganistán, de Tayikistán, Uzbekistán y de la increíble ciudad de Samarcanda. Atravesaremos el desierto y se hablará de los fantasmas que asustan a los viajeros. Finalmente llegaremos a los dominios del Khan y allí tendremos que utilizar la "maravilla" para poder describir a China. Hablaremos de los palacios más lujosos y hermosos de los cuales se haya escrito, de pinturas de leones y dragones además de la legendaria Xanadú. Contaremos de las "piedras negras", del sistema de correos y del papel moneda entre otros elementos cotidianos de China que sorprendieron a Marco Polo. Por último les dejamos con las bellísimas descripciones que hace el viajero veneciano de ciudades cómo Pekín, Cantón y Hangzhou para dejar listo el viaje de regreso a Europa. En la próxima habrá espacio para Japón, Sumatra, Sri Lanka y otros lugares maravillosos
