Hello and welcome to Newsa from the BBC World Service coming to you live from

London with me John Donison and we start the program where else but in Paris it was quite an evening so was it

a success is the hot takes of a few of the spectators I had fun I thought it

was great but probably better to watch on TV.

There were too many people in the our fan zone so it makes everybody's everything

congested so it was really difficult to see and because of the rain.

It was a great show.

Fortunately with the rain it was a bit difficult for us.

Really a great show with good image, good picture, good singers.

I mean it's a once in a lifetime experience,

so it's something I think you need to do.

Well security at the ceremony was obviously incredibly tight.

It came after about 800,000 travellers were

affected as three high-speed train lines connecting Paris with the west north

and east of France were

severe delays and some cancellations.

Well, Pierre Rabadon is the deputy mayor of Paris in charge of sport

and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Maybe I can tell you that we have 45,000 person in charge of the security who are actually in Paris.

We put a specific organization since a week all around the Rivasen and a place where the opening ceremony will happen and I can assure you that we work on that situation especially since four years and we put the high

level of security possible for getting the best ceremony ever.
