For over three years now, James Carter,

he goes by Jay, has been writing a weekly column for the China Project called This Week

in China's History. It's one of my very favorite things on our website, and I look forward to it

every week, especially now, since it is my job to record narrations of those columns for our China Stories podcast.

If you look at Jay's bio at the bottom of the column, it says he's a professor of history

at St. Joseph's University, which is true. He's an historian. He still teaches. But actually,

he's been promoted not once but twice in the three years he's been writing this column for us.

First, to Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at St. Joseph's.

And now, unbelievably, to Provost of the University.

Yep, we have the Provost of a University still writing this wonderful column week in and week out for a little old us.

And I get to read that column for you each week on China Stories.
